Time is Flyin

April 1-10
April is the craziest month of the year. I can't believe how fast it came and went. But I'm sure glad all of the snow is finally gone and we can enjoy the sunshine. Scott and I have been taking advantage of all the sun with lots of jogs and walks to the park. I've always wanted to be a good runner and I try so hard but my running usually turns into a walk. Scott is really athletic and he runs really fast so I've had to learn to just let him run and I go my own pace.
Before all the snow melted we were stuck inside so we tried working on our house every spare minute. We have a spare bedroom so I wanted to make it into some kind of computer/craft room. Someday it will be a nursery but for now I just wanted it to be our fun-whatever room. We painted a while back, the paint job was quite the struggle. At first I really wanted it to be more of a gray and light blue color but I misjudged the paint swatches and it turned out bright blue and purple. So I changed the color scheme and we went for something a little more subtle. Scott built me this pretty white desk for Christmas.
I had him build me this shelf to hang a quilt my mom and I made when I graduated from Highschool. For so long it has been sitting in my closet so its been fun having the quilt up on the wall to see everyday.
A while back I got asked to judge a dance competition, it was really fun but sadly, it was the same day as 2 of my good friends baby showers. So for one of the showers Kiri and I got together to make a diaper cake for Becca and Trevor's little baby Dallin. I was so bummed I didn't get to go and meet the cute little guy. But I might be seeing him tomorrow! I can't wait!
This is Kiri modeling our creation. She took it to the shower since I couldn't be there. Good thing Holly was there to coach us through the whole construction of the diaper cake or we would have never figured it out.

I turned 22 on April 9th and graduated on April 10th. Talk about the best birthday present ever. I really didn't want to walk very much but my mom really wanted me to. And I'm so glad I did it was a really cool experience. I even got to sit with some of my closest friends so it made it that much more fun. My 2 favorite memories from graduation was when they had us walk from the field house to the gym all the teachers line the halls to cheer you on as you enter the gym. It is a pretty narrow hallway so its a little strange but really cool.

The other thing I thought was cool about graduation was when Vice President Eyring talked. He talked about when he was a mission president in Taiwan he was taking some elders to the airport to go home. Someone from the mission office called to tell him one of the missionaries in his car would not be able to go home because of visa problems. This particular elder was from Brazil and he knew that his family would have traveled for days to be able to pick him up. Being an experienced traveler and business man President Eyring was positive he would be able to get him home. He made several phone calls but still was unable to make it happen. President Eyring was still very persistent he pulled money from his own pocket and told the missionary to take this money and do whatever it takes to get home. In reply the missionary said something like, "President Eyring don't worry about me, Heavenly Father knows where I am."
President Eyring expressed how foolish he was to try to solve this problem without the help of his father in heaven. He went on to say even if you think you might have the wrong ticket to your desired destination it doesn't matter as long as you listen to the counsel of the Lord.
After graduation we had an fun little party. Lots of family and friends came to support. Scott was so sweet and got me a camera, I have been in desperate need of a new camera and the one he got is so awesome. I need to post more of my birthday and other stuff but my computer has a difficult time loading pictures on to here so I'll work on that later.

We also celebrated Easter that same night with an Easter egg hunt and some kite flying. I'm not sure whether Linden or Kyle enjoyed the kites more. Afterwards the boys played a football game, the city boys (Kyle & Scott) vs. the country boys (Randall, Jake, & Dad). I'm still not sure who won but they seemed to have fun.

Whew, like a said its been a crazy couple of weeks. Its been so nice to come home to no homework and stress. I've been feeling much more domestic as well. I cooked almost every night last week (That is quite the accomplishment for me, so I'm feelin pretty good). Anyway, I'm ready for a fun hot summer. Here is the plan-
Goals for Summer:
1. Picnic once a week
2. Have at least 2 campfires at the sand dunes
3. A couple of bike rides (make use of the camel-backs we never use)
4. Go swimming outside
5. Go camping

How fun! I'm glad your April went fast. Time feels like it's moving so slowly for me! :) And I love your cute little house. My favorite is that Scott's considered a "city boy" — very nice.
