We went to the zoo for Memorial Day. Emlin really loved it, I was surprised with how many animals she recognized. Emlin held on to Grandpa most of the time. She absolutely loves being carried around and she loved the animals. From left to right, top to bottom - Clint excited to see exotic animals & my mom excited to be with Clint, Emlin so happy to be outside, Emy holding tight onto grandpa, and lastly a wrinkly elephant bum.
This elephant walked right over to us, lifted his little trunk, and waved hello.
It was super hot at the zoo but my dad got a little chilly in the shade and stole Emlin's blanket, he thought he was so clever because no one could tell if his eyes were open or not.
This is Emlin showing us what an elephant does - she was in the middle of her fantastic elephant impression. And that's a baby elephant eye. This elephant was so cute, it even did a little handstand for us.
Emlin was super concerned for this little monkey that had its hands on its face. She kept saying, "Brrr, cold monkey." I just love her little hands smooshing her happy chubby face. She kept asking us if she could hold all the animals. She'd say, "Hold you, puhlease!" Lately, her "please" has gotten really loud and drawn out.
And this is Em's awesome impression of the monkey scream. She sounded just like them. I'd say the zoo was a success, we are ready to go back.
