Mae's Blessing

The Bullards are here on spring break, they came mostly to bless Mae and see there families but we are obnoxious and have been squeezing ourselves into their family time. Sunday was Mae's blessing. Emlin and Elliot had fun playing together, they are really good with each other. Emlin has a tendency to be rough with other little kids, I think it is because we play kind of rough with her, but Elliot was very patient and tolerant of her. I have a feeling that is how their relationship may be in the future (much like their parents...Scott has to be very patient with his difficult wife). Not that I would ever force Emlin to marry Elliot...but it sure would be nice.
On a side note Emmy used to love dogs but recently she has developed a fear of them. Jace's dog is the sweetest thing and hardly makes a peep and Emlin was terrified. Poor thing. It was a really long day for her and as soon as she got in the car she fell asleep. I love her little sleepy face. I read about this mom that checks on her children when they are sleeping to remind her that she loves them, I have been doing this lately and it really helps. Sometimes the tantrums and yelling 'no!' repeatedly get annoying and it really helps to see her gently sleeping, it reminds me how stinkin much I love this girl.
