Just a thought- I think I have been an effective blogger lately because I don't want to do the things I need to do. I know I need to study, do laundry, etc. But blogging is so much easier. Crap, what can you do? I know I am being unproductive but at least I'm recording memories, right?
Scott's 23rd Birthday
Friday October 3, 2008
For Scott's actually B-day we went out to dinner. Thanks to a gift card from Aly and Doug, thanks again guys, it was amazing. Funny Story- Scott has Fridays off, so Friday morning while I was at school, Scott and Rob went shopping. (P.S. At this time, he hadn't opened any gifts from me yet.) After school, Scott came and got me and we headed to I.F. I persisted that he open his gifts at the restaurant, opening them in our boring apartment sounded too lame. He begged me to let him open them at home or even in the car, but I thought that was boring and made him take them inside, telling him, "No one will see you, it's no big deal." So we got to Olive Garden and here we are loading in a couple bags of presents (All of which is pretty girly wrapping paper because I didn't have anything else.) We saw some friends, cousins, fellow Rexburgers, almost everyone we saw, including 3 servers asked if it was my birthday considering the girly wrapping, to which I explained, "Nope, it's Scott's." Then they asked, "Who are you guys with?" To which I explained, "Just ourselves." Haha, they all looked so confused.
Anyway, we sat down at dinner, opened gifts, and Scott found out that I got him:
- A white church shirt, which he had wanted to buy that day but didn't.
- The exact shirt he had purchased earlier that day. (Pictured Above)
- A pair of church pants, which he also bought earlier that day.
What are the odds of that? So the moral of the story is: "Don't go shopping on your Birthday before you have opened you Birthday Presents" and "Wives Can Read Minds."
Maybe next year we will just go shopping together.
Nonetheless, it was a great birthday! Scott is awesome, he works super hard, he thinks of others before himself, he is currently folding laundry, and he makes me laugh.

ya that is hilarious. I suck at picking Todd out stuff, I always attempt to buy him hats and without fail he has always taken them back. So I'm super impressed you guys are that in sync. ha I love that you made him take the presents to a resaurant. You guys are losers just like us.
I didn't know it was Scott's B-day. Happy Birthday Scott! The same thing happened with us our first Christmas together. Michael bought the same shirt I had ordered for him.

Hi Scott and Mel! I don't know how, but I found you guys! Now we can be blogging friends because I live in Provo and never see you guys anymore. :) You are too cute. And happy birthday, Scott!
