Disneyland
August 2008
For our Anniversary Scott took me to California. I have been to DisneyWorld but never Disneyland and I was so pumped! We are fans of Dinseyland so we both couldn't wait to get there. I love the music, flowers, and atmosphere. Scott loves the rides and the food. It has the best of both worlds. I kept telling Scott that Walt Disney is my hero.
Splash Mountain, Scott was scared he was holding onto me for dear life.
We shopped at all the fun shops at Downtown Disney. Poor Scott needed some socks really bad and it turns out they don't sell that kind of stuff.
I always wanted to wear these Bride and Groom hats but we couldn't find them. But finally on the last day right before we were about to leave we found some. It was a miracle.
This is in California Adventure, outside the Maliboomer. The rides at California Adventure are so fun! Scott was like running from one ride to another he could have rode rides for days.
Soaring Over California, this was our favorite ride. We rode it twice, the only other ride we rode twice was the Buzz Lightyear one wear you get to shoot stuff and see who shoots more (just for you Cooper!) Scott smoked me both times but he cheated. Like usual.
This one is for Annalee.
We ate at this fun little restaurant, the food was amazing and we got to sit out on a little porch and watch the fireworks from DisneyLand.
Memories I don' want to forget about our Disney Trip:
1. When we were leaving Disneyland the first day there was a huge crowd of people trying to get out and this lady was pushing Scott and I and screaming. She was dragging her son and yelling, "Its gonna be okay sweetheart, we are going to get you out of here", he was all decked out in Disney attire-the ears, the shirt, the pin-trading neck strap, etc. From hearing her scream in my ear I assumed he was a little kid but as I turned around, to my surprise the kid was perfectly capable 14ish year old... poor guy is gonna be one of those kids that lives in his parents basement his whole life. But we laughed for days about that.
2. Walking 34 blocks to the beach.
3. The Fireworks
4. One day when we were waiting at the bus stop. These girls were walking into to Disneyland. The one girl looked really familar (I'm pretty sure I know her from school) but she was staring at me and I was staring at her, you could tell we were trying to remember eachother. Anyway she wasn't paying attention and went head first over a bench, flipped over, and rolled on the ground. O crap we laughed so hard, it was so funny. I felt really bad but she was even laughing it was so funny.
5. As we were walking around the park Scott heard this girl singing, "In the tiki, tiki, tiki room..." It was funny with her accent.
6. Meeting Mickey, Scott was kinda creeped out. A guy at the airport told us Mickey and Minnie are like 3 feet tall.
7. Playing charades in the swimming pool.
8. On our flight home we rode in a tiny plane and Scott and I were in the first row. The flight attendent was sitting right in front of us, facing towards us. She asked Scott like 6 times if his seatbelt was on. Haha I guess he does look a little suspicious.
9. Our driver, Terry, was sweet he wants to move to Idaho.
10. PF Chang spicey chicken, Scott has been craving it ever since. O and the yumminess of Mimi's. And just all the yummy food.
11. Goofy walked up behind Scott and tapped him on the shoulder. He totally pysched him out, Scott always does that to me so I was pumped to get some payback!

HOW FREAKIN FUN!! Ah I'm jealous but that sounded way fun!! I'm glad you updated some pictures from when you went to Disneyland. :D
You guys are awesome! I am glad that you had such a fun time in Disneyland together. I am pretty sure that you two could have a blast doing ANYTHING, though because you are both so funny. I really got a kick out of reading this post! Good job for really going all out for your first anniversary. It's a perfect time for it.. just the two of you and no worries about kids or school. For our first anniversary Shaun and I decided to not go anywhere and not get any gifts and just spend all our money on a new digital camera. Well, we spent our whole first anniversary going back and forth between Best Buy and Circuit City... let me tell you it was quite romantic. By the time we got home we were too pooped to party. I think your Disneyland anniversary definitely trumps our shopping one. :) You will always be so glad for those memories!
i LOVE that of all the things to do you went to Disneyland. I love you guys. see you at the circus
You are hilarious! We had a 10 day old baby on our first anniversary.... wouldn't recommend it :) How fun, what great pictures and great memories. You guys are awesome!

Sounds like so much fun! I really wish that Jess and I did something like that before we started having kids. We just might have to sneak away sometime, and not tell them where we're going! : ) You guys are so cute! : )

Hey I am always good for a laugh and apparantly you you are too! I loved that story about you falling over a bench ( not that I like you getting hurt). I thought that stiff only happened in movies. I guess you proved me wrong! Your awesome gal!
Sounds like you guys are having a blast! The Disney characters kind of creep me out too. I always picture some weird child molester inside haha. Aly's flowers were amazing; good job!
