The real 'laugh attack'.

 

I am so glad Em can laugh, I was getting a little nervous. This video makes me so happy. We have tried since then to get her to laugh and we got nothin, so this may be the one and only time Em laughs. Luckily we caught it on video.

Laugh Attack

 She is getting too big. Grandma got her this little v-day outfit. I think she feels pretty in it.

 I got Scott root-beer for v-day. I thought I was being so clever because he always begs for this stuff, but no I failed, I accidentally got diet root-beer. I didn't even notice until he said, "Uh, are you tryin to tell me somethin?" He was slightly offended. Although, I think I made up for it by getting him some i-tunes. 

We had a lovely valentines day. I usual dislike valentines day because it's a real busy day for florists, like the busiest. But this year was awesome because I dismissed myself from doing valentines flowers and I enjoyed the day with my hubby. All three of us were sick, we spent the day with body aches and sore throats but at least we got to be together.

Now for the top 2 greatest things that have happened so far this week.
Number 1- We found this site. We have to set a time limit  as to how long we can play on this site, because we are completely addicted. So far, I have learned 48 of the 53 countries in Africa and am getting pretty good at naming all of Asia. (Dang you, Tajikistan).

Number 2 - Emlin finally found her laugh. She has never really laughed before until last night. I am so happy we caught it on video, and I wanted to put it on here but it's not working, so maybe I will try again later. It is pretty funny tho, she gets kind of nervous with every giggle, like it scares her or something.

Emlin tried rice cereal for the first time. She was unpleasantly surprised. She has been begging us to give her something edible besides a bottle for sometime and I think she regrets her pleadings. Just look at the disappointment.

Em and Elliot, January 2011

And since this blog should probably include other things besides Emlin's cute face. Here are some pictures of our bathroom. We pulled up the linoleum, laid tile, repainted the vanity and painted the walls. And when I say "we", I mean "Scott". We still have stuff to do, like frame in the mirror, hang some kind of decor and figure out a window treatment. Again, I really have no intention of doing any of those things on my own and am relying on Scott for all that to happen. He may or may not need to find a new wife (or slave-driver).

Em as a zebra for Halloween 2010.

Emlin was a zebra for Halloween, her slacker mom never took pictures of her on Halloween. So she tried to take some photos of her later and who know that after 3 months that little costume would be a little snug, haha, poor thing. So when the lazy mom attempted taking photos, the little babe was not so happy about her little legs being squished and therefore, no happiness. O well, she still looks so cute with her little mane.

January, 5, 2011 (5 months and 1 day old.)

Em enjoys playing with her hands and feet and can fit her entire fist in her mouth.

Em is now 5.5 months old. She smiles lots now, I'm just not so good at capturing her grin. She is getting the hang of sitting up. I enjoy when she sits up because she is able to give her little neck rolls some air. Scott calls her cheeks Jeffrey R. Holland cheeks, I'm not sure who that offends more, Em or Elder Holland. Nonetheless, she is a little sweetheart and I don't know what we would do without her.

I had myself a Merry little Christmas.
