Scott recently finished up a rough semester. To celebrate I wanted to throw him a little party. But everything got really busy and I couldn't figure when I was going to have time to do something without him knowing. Well luckily the other night the stars aligned and everything just fell into place. Dave, Amy, and Rob were coming over for a sleep over and when they got here Scott had went out back to sweep the carport. Right when they rang the doorbell it dawned on me that now would be a good time to surprise Scott. I rushed them in and put them to work blowing up balloons and hanging streamers. As soon as we got the streamers up and the balloons blown, Scott walked in the back door. We hadn't really practiced or even talked about what we were going to say to him, so when he came in we each let out a jumble of greetings like, "Surprise!" "Congrats!" "Happy!" "Yay!" "Scott!" He was really surprise/confused, but it was fun anyway. I am really proud of Scott. School is really not his favorite thing and doesn’t come easy to him but he works really hard. He does whatever it takes to make the most of his college experience and takes advantage of the opportunities that are available to him right now. Way to go Scott, love you.
Notice the streamer under Scott's chin. And the pile of shoes to the left...I can't break my bad habit.
Amy looks so cute in this picture. These boys are so cute with her. They are wrapped.
It took us forever to get picture with the balloons in the air with the timer. This is the best I got. Later that night I made some nasty cupcakes, they were more like really thick, sunken muffins and we watched Rescuers Down Under, Scott's favorite show. I think its pretty good, but it still seems weird to me that it's his favorite. He can pretty much reenact the whole movie, my favorite is when he does the hunter guy and says something about Joanna. Anyway, I had to post about this random night before I forgot about it.
P.S. These balloons have been haunting me ever since, everywhere I go there they are.
